@Takeflight Thanks for your comment - we completely agree. There's something especially elegant and almost coachbuilt-looking about this generation CL, especially around the rear glass. It's a great piece of design and an epic drive as well. 

@Static50 Thanks for your question. Those are the dates the parts were manufactured. This is a 2006 model year car, but it left the production line in September 2005 (see pic #138), so it would make sense that all the original components on the car were produced before September 2005. I hope that clears things up. 

I was recently asked about the production date codes on the coil packs and ignition module - here's what we've got. 

Ignition module: 05W11, 11th week of 2005
Driver's side coil pack: 05W15, 15th week of 2005
Passenger's side coil pack: 05W13, 13th week of 2005

@rkilmon Yes, once we're paid we'll handle all that. 

@rkilmon I've mentioned this in an earlier comment - I won't share the exact amount but the amount owed is well under the value of the car (actually less than the current bid). The winning bidder will pay Forza Car Company the sale price of the vehicle, and we will handle the payoff logistics with the credit union.

@rkilmon The current owner took out a loan when he purchased the car a couple years ago, and a small amount of money is still owed on it. I hope that answers your question!

@Static50 I appreciate that comment - the owner and I took that into consideration too. He's an MBCA member and is sympathetic to these cars' needs. 

@Shark07747 Absolutely. Once the winning bidder completes the payment, the payoff amount will be sent to the credit union and the title will be released. From there it will be reassigned to the new owner and FedEx'd to them, just like any other deal. It just adds that extra step. 

@Shark07747 Good morning, thank you for your questions! I've been in communication with the car's owner, and he kindly offered to purchase the part and include it with the sale. If the winning bidder would like it installed prior to taking delivery, Forza Car Co. can make arrangements to have it installed at their expense. 

The lien is a simple car loan through a local credit union and the amount owed is well below the value of the car.

@Static50 Good afternoon, thank you for your question and for that insight! It's interesting you mention it - I've definitely noticed it in other cars, which just like this one, appeared to have fully functioning ABC systems with no faults. Still, your point is well taken. We do not have service records relating to ABC servicing, and the car is on its original coil packs to our knowledge. 

Good afternoon MB Market viewers and bidders! We're very happy to be offering this CL600 on behalf of a good friend, especially since the last car we sold on the MB Market was a C140 600SEC, it seemed fitting. Please take the time to watch the video which includes a demonstration of the ABC adjustable ride height towards the end. One thing to note is the driver's door soft close does not appear to function, however the passenger door soft close is functional alongside all the other vacuum items. 

This is a gorgeous car to drive - it was tempting to keep it for myself. There is no better combo of design, power, and road-trip-ability for the money. It's a legendary grand tourer that deserves a big trip this summer.
