One Owner with 29k miles: 2003 CLK430 Sport Cabriolet

Listed for sale with a dealer in Elizabeth, NJ is this 2003 CLK430 Sport Cabriolet. The car is showing 29k miles and is a final year model offering for the w208. Interestingly enough, these w208s could be found on the same showroom floors with w209s as 2003 model years. The current asking price for this CLK is set at $16,985 which is on par with some of the recent sales we've seen over the last 2 years. According to the Carfax, the car is a one-owner example and lived it's entire life in Pennsylvania.

Finished in Cubanite Silver (723) over Beige Leather (215), this CLK430's mature color combination is rarely seen. We actually love this color on any Mercedes-Benz from this era as they give a sophisticated and classy vibe that seems to stand the test of time. The paint does appear to be in excellent condition with only minor imperfections noted on the rear bumper molding near the center, and again on the passenger side-skirt near the rear wheel. The black soft top appears to be in perfect condition and operates with no faults. As a Sport Package, the car comes equipped with a full AMG bodykit including front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and 17" AMG monoblock style wheels.

The interior continues the cars stately theme. The woodgrain is the same Black Birdseye Maple seen in the AMG versions and is in excellent condition. The drivers seat appears to be in need of a proper cleaning or potential re-dying to match the rest of the near perfect interior. Optional equipment includes heated front seats and xenon headlights. We're pleased to see the original floormats still with the car.

The M113 V8 in this CLK430 was rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new. No mention of prior maintenance history or records are made although condition would lead us to believe the car has been well-cared for. This certainly is a rare w208 as a 2003 model year (December 2002 production date), mileage, and color combination. We wouldn't be surprised to see an example like this pop up on the auction block within the next couple of years with the value trends lately.
